Behind the Scenes: The Journey to 13,000 Feet

It Starts with a List
Charity is often romanticized, but the reality is logistical. Before we can see the smiles on children's faces, there are spreadsheets, phone calls, and packing tape—lots of packing tape.
We didn't want to just send money blindly. We worked directly with local community leaders on the ground to ask a simple question: "What do you actually need right now?"
The answers were humble yet heartbreaking. They didn't ask for iPads or fancy gadgets. They asked for thick socks. They asked for pencils that don't break. They asked for geometry sets.

The Reality of the Road
Getting these supplies to the destination is an adventure in itself. The villages we support are not accessible by highway. They require navigating winding mountain roads that are often blocked by snow or rockfalls.
In the photo below, you can see the truck being loaded this morning. These boxes contain:
-
500 new library books.
-
300 sets of thermal winter wear.
-
Art supplies for an entire school.

Why Transparency Matters
We know that skepticism exists. You want to know that your purchase actually makes a difference. That is why we are documenting every step. When you wear our jewelry, we want you to feel the weight of its impact.
Next stop: The school. The road is long, but the destination is worth every mile. Stay tuned.
